Same as a nightclub. Run by men to rip off other men. The women are only the bait. The many men go to the club hoping they get a root. They pay for most of the drinks all night. 95% of men go home poorer without getting a root. The ones who are getting a root are the owners of the club, the security guards, the musicians and a few random dudes

That’s a bit glum. Possibly a bit true, but also kind of defeatist. Sister met my brother in law at night club (8 years, 2 kids and still going strong).
Not sure about the root situation – don’t really want to know. Think they met up for coffee the next day or day after or something.
